    Maria Monserrate, 67 of Streamwood, died Wednesday, June 24th at Heritage Health Care Center, Elgin.  Born March 28, 1948 in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Juan and Pastora (Lopez) Mendez.

    She was proud to be a Girl Scout leader in Elgin, and was actively involved with the parents, teachers, and children of McKinley School.  She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and her beloved dogs, Chopper and Susi.

    Maria is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Modesto, and Manuel, and one niece, Nicole.

  2. Nicholas Quinn Harris

    Nicholas Quinn Harris, 25 of Carpentersville was called to glory Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Chicago.  The son of Yolanda Beatty-Harris, born March 4, 1990 in Dallas, TX.

    Nicholas was a “gamer”, a dancer, and loved his dog Hennessey.  He had an infectious smile and loved his family and friends.

    He is preceded in death by his mother and his sister, Destiny Nicole; grandmother, Tressie Beatty; grandfather, Roba Beatty.

  3. Mary T. "Champ" McCloskey

    Mary T. (Champ) McCloskey, 99, of Glendale, AZ passed away at home on Sat, June 13, 2015. 

    She was a former machine operator at Western Electric in Montgomery, IL from which she retired in 1976 after 20 years of service.   After retirement she moved to Sun Valley, CA and lived there until 1994.  She then moved to Glendale, AZ.

    Mary loved her animals and always had a pet or two that she treated with the utmost affection.  She loved driving and a road trip was on the agenda whenever the opportunity arrived.
