    Jose  touched the lives of so many. He was known for his willingness to help anyone in need and his trademark sense of humor.     KarinaKarina Olascoaga, 23, passed away Saturday, March 23, after a brave battle with cancer. Karina was born in Mexico City on May 12, 1995 to Javier Olascoaga and Luz Maria Sanchez.

    Karina and her parents arrived in Elgin when she was 3 years old in December 1998. She lived in Elgin all of her life. She attended Lords Park Elementary School, then on to Larsen Middle School and graduated from Elgin High School, class of 2013.
